Could a Life Coach Help You?
Hello, and welcome to the very first blog post for jonathanwebber.net! When it comes to finding success in life, achieving goals is not always the easiest thing to do. While it is easy to make goals and take action towards achieving them, staying consistent and on-track can be quite difficult when all of the other stressors of life are factored in. Between work, family, and the wide variety of obligations that come with being an adult, it is easy for people to lose focus on the things that they want to achieve, and put things off until a time when life is a little more hectic. As an inspirational life and nutrition coach, it is my goal to take what I have learned from my life and help others find a lifestyle that not only makes them healthier, but is built around achieving goals and living life to the fullest. In today’s post, I’m going to go over some of the benefits that hiring a life coach can have for you and what you can expect when you sign up for my program.
Be a Better You
Although life coaches have been on the public radar for some time, I have found that many people are still unclear of exactly what a life coach does for their clients. In the simplest of terms, life coaching is a professional relationship between two people that aims to help individuals to achieve goals that they have set for themselves in any aspect of life. As your life coach, I will help to show you some simple techniques and strategies to help you achieve your goals and find continued success. Below, I have listed a few more benefits that come along with joining my program.
- Accountability: Achieving goals is, typically, an intensely personal journey. People make goals with the best of intention and typically want to improve some aspect of their personal or professional life. Unfortunately, for many people, it becomes difficult to stay on track because they are only answering to themselves. It can become all too easy for a person to put things off, lose sight of their goals, and fall back into the same repetitive patterns that they were trying to escape from in the first place. Having someone in your life that holds you accountable for the goals you set for yourself is a great way to increase the chance that you will actually achieve the goals that you have set for yourself. As your life coach, I will work with you to help create smaller goals on a day to day basis that will help you achieve your main goals. If you fail to achieve a goal that we had set for that week, we will work together to understand why you feel short and develop new methods to ensure that you learn from your past mistakes.
- Unbiased Opinion: When it comes to seeking help from friends and family, things can get a little tricky. Surrounding yourself with people that know you, while beneficial in many ways, can often work as more of a hindrance as you try to achieve your goals. The people closest to us will often avoid giving us the honest answers that we need to hear because they are afraid of offending us or hurting our feelings. As your life coach, I have no such hang-ups. I will provide you with the honest feedback that you need in order to better yourself. Unbiased input can make a big difference in helping shape a person’s perspective, allowing them to see things about themselves that they may not have realized beforehand. Additionally, I have found that people are more likely to believe the positive things about themselves if they hear it from an outsider. Your friends and family can tell you how great you are a thousand times over, however, hearing it once from someone outside of your normal social circle can have a very large impact.
- Increased Personal Development: When you get down to it, utilizing a life coach is all about increasing your own personal development. Whether or not you are looking to work on your physical fitness, perform better at your job, or work on your social development, I will work with you to come up with a personalized plan geared towards your unique goals. I will help you look at yourself honestly and challenge yourself to operate outside of your comfort zone in order to get the things in life that you want. Sometimes, all it takes is a little push in the right direction from someone that wants to see you succeed.
